Anyone for tennis?
Strawberries and cream, centre court, ball boys, Cliff Richard, white sports kit - these are all the quaint traditions that have become as ubiquitous as the tennis itself at Wimbledon.
For 145 years the tournament has insisted on an all white dress code, but critics say now is the time to change it.
The traditional all white kit that players are expected to wear is outdated and makes life very difficult when menstruating.
U.K. sports broadcaster Catherine Whitaker has been leading the charge this year, and her criticism has sparked a broader conversation about inclusivity in sports.
"If they had a clothing policy that affected men in the way that it does women, I don't think that particular tradition would last. I cannot imagine going into the biggest day of my life, with my period, and being forced to wear white," she said, according to The Telegraph.
Surely it's just a matter of time before this changes?
Wimbledon has not responded to the criticism 🙄
